Green-eyed Gal!

{9 April 2009}   Luvin’ This Life

Ah, I have been on hiatus for a while now!

After moving to our new home here in Texas, I have found one thing after another to take up too much of my time!  Some of it silly stuff, some of it necessary stuff, but all of it time consuming!

Since settling in here last October, I have found more and more to be thankful for.  From our new house, to new friends, to new hobbies… We have been blessed beyond measure!

I have taken up gardening… I do hope my black thumb turns green.  I planted a flower bed and a veggie garden.  So far the bushes and flowers seem to thrive.  The garden is still dirt and seed except for the tomato plants that are quite pretty nestled in their climbing cages.

We have adopted a new kitty.  Saving her from the shelter here was the greatest anniversary gift Brett could have gotten me!  She is such an incredible addition to our family, and of all the kitties I have had, she is the first lap cat.  LOL  Too bad she’s not allowed on the furniture!  The only time she gets to sit on laps is if we are by the computer, or sitting on the floor.  Poor kitty… lol  But she LOVES to play with Stephen, and Stephen takes great care of her!

We have reunited with old friends, and made so many new friends that we are actually finding it hard to keep up!  On our street alone we have birthday parties and barbq’s every weekend!  We have already decided that for Stephen’s birthday this year, we won’t be getting him anything since all our neighbors seem to LOVE to gift all the kids!   I do have to say though, I am getting just a little bit bored with hotdogs!  haha!

Then there is my health.  Wow!  I still have some really bad days, and they seem to clump themselves together.  But overall… I feel SO much better!  I have been able to be more consistent with my work-out routines.  I am having fewer migraines, fewer stroke-like episodes, fewer can’t get out of bed days… and I am much less stressed out because of it!

For now.. that catches you up with the past 6 months.

I have to say… This period in our life is one that I am making sure to take time to thank God for.  We are on that mountain… I know we won’t always be up here, and I know I need to cling to the memories of this for the future… But one thing is for sure, God continues to amaze and humble me!
